Borana Conservancy

Borana Conservancy is dedicated to the conservation of land, wildlife and building local livelihoods.

In 2013 a founding population of black rhino were introduced to Borana Conservancy is order to expand critical habitat for the growing population. Since then, the rhino population on the conservancy has increased dramatically and Borana is now also home to white rhino and the critically endangered Grevy’s Zebra. Together with Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, the Borana-Lewa Landscape if one of Kenya’s largest continuous rhino habitats, home to over 200 black and white rhino.

Lengishu is found at the centre of the conservancy with breathtaking views and wildlife viewable throughout the property. Our location is also malaria free so a great option for families.

Conservation & community

A true commitment to this eco-system

At Lengishu, we take great care to have as little impact on our environment as possible. From the very beginning, our vision for Lengishu was to create an inspiring luxury safari home with a commitment to this eco-system as well as the people and wildlife who depend on it. This guided every element of the design, build and management. We are passionate about preserving the balance of the existing landscape in conjunction with Borana Conservancy and our neighbours.
